Summer festival projects

I've been working on a few Custom pieces! And not my usual....

Here's James' wizard cape to go along with Bubba's (see archive!) at the Shambhala festival that happened in July!

He tie dyed his own liner, and I pattern placed it so it did this great electric circle on the back. Turned out becoming reversible with the vintage toggles! I put some custom pockets and embellishments for James, too. I  ended up absolutely loving the tie dye!

I also did an alteration for a former school mate, Nadja, for a coat she made for an upcoming festival as well.. She wanted to take this looser double breasted shape into something a bit more feminine.

And this is what I came up with!
A nipped in waist with a thick silk, and pleated fur (wow, was that fun for me and my machine!) and vintage buttons. She wanted to keep the length for warmth at night
I added these matching plackets with interesting white buttons too. I think the little details really do add a lot cuteness!

And this is what I am almost done with: I'll leave it a surprise..

Thanks to James and Nadja, and enjoy the rest of your summer, folks! I'm off to St. Croix in less than 2 weeks and am just absolutely stoked. stoked.

ciao lovelies!
