I just got back from a quick family trip to the tri cities and am still dreaming of incessantly hot weather (I LOVE IT), beautiful farmland, desert, amazing mexican food and bbq. here's some inspirational snaps:
On another note...
I am so excited for the new Seattle Art museums exhibit. As a 90's kid, harajuku street fashion and japanese culture enthusiast, this is right up my ally. I can't wait to get inspired looking at 30 years of revolutionary japanese fashion designers and their most famous pieces and runway looks.
When I was in high school I read a book about the japanese designers and industry of the 80's and 90's. From that book, I really dug Takeo Kikuchi's past designs...his line is now entrusted to Taishi Nobukuni, who does accessories and color quite well! I hope to see his past clothing designs in there, as I've never seen them in real life!

Additionally, I am so excited to announce that Miss Lady Konnyaku (one of my favorite gal pals, Malia Peoples) is hosting, and asked me and my friend Candace to help with, a SAM curated/ harajuku inspired workshop for some creative young ladies and their care takers.
